Course Description: DRAMA I: Introduction to Acting 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th
Semester ½ credit- No prerequisite
This course provides students with an introduction to the theatre and its various components. The class focuses on pantomime, acting, improvisational techniques, characterization, and stage terminology . Students will also study and analyze different play styles and playwrights through the reading of a variety of one-act plays. Students will perform their own monologues, staged readings, and scenes. This is a performance and
participation based class.
